Cody, a native of Choudrant, LA, earned his Bachelor's of Music in Piano Performance from Louisiana Tech University while studying with Dr. Steele Moegle. While at Louisiana Tech, he was the choral accompanist for the LaTech Concert Choir, LaTech Chamber Singers, and the North Louisiana Masterworks Chorus. He also served as guest member of the University Concert Band a number of times as well. He also earned concentrations in violin and composition from Louisiana Tech as well. Cody studied piano with Mrs. Jeanne Patterson from 1990-2004.
Cody was a pianist at Douglas United Methodist Church in Ruston, LA for over 10 years from 2004-2015. He is currently serving as the pianist for Farmerville United Methodist Church. He is also the director and performer of the Joyful Noise Jubilee concert series that was started in 2010, and has blossomed into a much anticipated gospel concert each year. Cody also performs numerous solo gospel and classical piano concerts around North Louisiana each year.
Cody has been teaching piano lessons since 2008, growing his studio each year, until he started teaching full time in 2014 at his studio in Farmerville, LA. Cody is a member of MTNA, LMTA, and RAMTA. All of this is made possible by the love and support of his beautiful wife, Keri.
